Wal & Suze in the SMH!

Two of my bestest friends are in the SMH with a gorgeous piccy of them with their kids.  They really are a wonderful example of two Aussie Mossies.  (Isn’t Suze beautiful!! And I’m not just saying that because I know she reads my blog, but ‘coz she really is a halal hottie!)

  1. I think Muslims should start paying Waleed and Susan for their time and effort in talking to the media. THey are both such a credit to the community.

Mash’Allah (SWT), what cute kids! And Susan really is a beauty. She glows!

  2. Salaam,

Any idea when his book might be available in the US?

A thought-provoking article, thanks for the link!

    Warmly,
    Baraka

  3. A halal hottie lol You crack me up :)))

    Ya Haqq!

  4. I enjoyed Waleed’s thoughts in the article about ‘reformation’. It takes me back to many question times following public lectures on some aspect of Islam or Muslim culture. Some person (not a Roman Catholic :-) inevitably stands up and makes the patronising statement (disguised as a question) “but don’t you think Islam needs a Reformation?”. I sit there thinking, “Do you really know what you are asking for!” The analogy can only be taken a small way, but there are comparisons that could be made between the Salafi movements and the European Reformation. It would make an interesting ‘compare and contrast’ essay.

How was the Malaysia trip? I’m so bummed I didn’t get to go, but it’s all qadr Allah (SWT) because it would have been at just the wrong time with the house move and everything.

I’m done putting all the furniture in place, (and re-arranging all the furniture again), it’s now just the boxes. We had boxes that I hadn’t unpacked from the last move, so you can imagine what my time-table is going to be like with these ones. Actually, I watched this show on hoarding last night, and I figure I really have to chuck/donate a lot of this stuff because it’s just not good for me to be lugging around boxes of stuff that really if I haven’t unpacked it in a year and a half I DON’T NEED IT!!!!!!

Hey btw are you guys able to babysit Yaz either this Fri or this Sat night? If you’re not don’t worry. Actually I better give you a call rather than arrange this thru the blog LOL.

  7. Have you guys heard of email? It’s this cool new thing where you can blog to each other about babysitting without the whole world reading about it!

    Just kidding.
    :-)

Haa Haaaaaa - actually I read this piece about how email is nearly dead (unusuable) because of spam. The author was trying to argue that setting up a blog and communicating through commenting (and reading those through a RSS reader) was the new way of communicating that would kill of the old email. Not sure, but I can see the merits in it.
