Well, the good news is that Google loves me again (for those who didn’t hover around the Google search bar constantly putting ‘maryams.net/dervish’ in as a search term and having ‘this site may break your computer’ thrown back at you… well the last 24 hours have been very nerve-wracking as I tried everything to get my beloved Dervish back into the Google god’s good books. Whatever I did seemed to work (don’t ask me what, I tried a zillion different things at once). Anyway, back to my regular reading:

Austrolabe has some funny excerpts from The Mansion up about Rudd’s 2020 summit.

Kim at Larvatus Prodeo has a post on the embarrassing pickle that Griffith University Vice-Chancellor Ian O’Connor has got himself into, trying to defend the uni from The Oz’s mud-slinging. Stuff along the lines of “research funds from Saudi donors, doth turn Australia into a shari’a state” or something silly like that.

Speaking of tainted money… The Bradford Muslim has a post up on the dosh the UK government is throwing around trying to prevent extremism.

Sunni Sister has a zillion different pix up, but this simple one is my favourite.

Muslim Matters has a post up reviewing the recently released Who Speaks for Islam?, on the topic of democracy versus theocracy.

Svend has some freaky pics up of a scuba diver making salat.

annalog muses about men who have no haya.

I’m glad to see you back. When I innocently clicked on your page recently, my anti-virus sent out a siren, and was advised to abort the connection immediately. I nervously did a full scan and didn’t find anything, but I avoided your page until I saw your message in my RSS feed.

    What a headache, huh?

    Love, Karen

    Thanks Karen,

I cannot imagine what was wrong. I knew it couldn’t be any of the content as that’s been up for donkeys. So I wondered maybe it was the new template, so I changed that, and I also put on a security plugin (WP Security Scan), changed the default name of my Wordpress tables (actually Abu Yasmin did that hah!), deleted the left-over WP install file and cleaned up my re-directs from/to Godblogger. Sheesh.

Good to see you again anyway.
    UY
