Mr Moo on BBQ (hey that rhymes) prooving (hehe) that really all men are the same (whether Muslim or not).

Dave the ex-Muslim has a picture that illustrates how un-American Jesus was.*

Matt ennumerates a whole bunch of theisms that most of us have never heard of. Like “zootheism, the belief in animal gods.” Wooah.

Bet you didn’t know there’s a whole bunch of neo-cons getting their knickers in a knot, because they see Islamic symbolism in a Flight 93 memorial. (What’s wrong with Islamic symbolism anyway? And anyway, contrary to popular belief the crescent is not the symbol of Islam, it’s the symbol of the Ottoman empire, which is Turkish, and long gone anyhow.)

Pete the missionary from Beyond Islam wants to know what cause do you fight for, and what the truth about God, Jesus, Muhammad, Islam, Christianity etc. is. Sounds like an invitation for fair exhortation: “Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way.” (An-Nahl 16:125)

The New York Times’ Edward N. Luttwak (and the neo-cons pushing the agenda behind this article) show they just don’t ‘get’ Muslims. See, Muslims love a celebrity Muslim, even half-a-maybe Muslim. They don’t have to grow a big beard, cover their awrah, avoid alcohol, it’s enough that they’re celebrity. So inshallah (please God) that Obama wins the Democratic nomination and then the Presidency, Muslims all over will be jumping up and down with glee. He may not actually be a Muslim (now) but he’s the next best thing to having a Muslim in the White House, or at the very least having someone *friendly* to Muslims in the White House. Besides, even if he was an apostate he’s not going around dissing Islam and Muslims, like other famous apostates (eg. Salman Rushdi, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Ibn Warraq etc.) so the vast majority of the world’s Muslims are not going to get excited (in a bad way) just because his father was once a Muslim.

* Caveat: Actually, how un-right-wing-neo-con American, for my lefty, liberal, radical American friends and readers who I really admire and respect and don’t wish to make a slur on their type of American.)
