Procrastination blogging

May 19th, 2008

Here for your Monday delight, is some procrastination blogging:

This is such a cool tip - I can’t believe I haven’t thought of it before. Lifehacker has a post on how to freeze mince meat (aka ground meat in American) into small portions in a single bag, using a chopstick. Seriously useful for those of us who buy in bulk and cook.

Good comment thread up at Barney Leith’s blog (I can’t spell it and I’m too lazy to look) on whether religion blogs can really make money, given the nature of the content, and the type of readers likely to frequent religion blogs.

Ian has a funny list of “fun things to do during boring sermons“. Abu Yasmin told me that where he grew up, the men who weren’t really interested in religion but had to attend Mass ‘coz they were Irish and you had to, used to stand in the door-way and read the newspaper during mass.

Austrolabe has a post up on the RMIT Prayer Room issue. I first heard of this last year, along with rumours that Melbourne Uni is going the same way. Namely, converting existing Muslim prayer spaces into unisex multifaith centres. I don’t see why they can’t have both.

Okay, I better head up to the library and do some research.
