Tip for research students
Sometimes you may come across what sounds like a fascinating thesis but it has been submitted in some far-flung place that’s going to take money and time to get a copy (although happily, more and more theses and dissertations are being put online).
Luckily, these days any aspiring academic doctoral student needs to get some journal articles under their belt to get future post-grad work. So, combining your *theses* searches with *journal* articles published by the same name, may get you a taste of that thesis straight away (well… so long as your library has a subscription to the database but that’s another issue).
You can leave a response, or trackback from your own site.

Salaam;
Aaaah…databases. My husband, as a library science grad student, had access to *all* the databases. IT was Nirvana, I’m telling you, Nirvana! …sigh… Miss those databases.

I know - I think if I had to, I would perpetually enrol in Uni courses just for access to the databases *sigh*.
