Who knew there were so many Muslim female leaders
Wow, what a list. If anyone bangs on about how Muslim women cannot be leaders, I shall know to point them to this extensive list of Muslim women leaders and influential persons.

Depends what you call “leader”.
Of that extensive list, Five were a head of government or Head of State.
All from outside the Arab world.

^ True, but even if some of these women did not hold the title of head of government or caliphate etc. Many of the early ladies had 1. their name in printed on the currency and 2. their khutbah read in their honor which does demonstrate to some degree their position.
I’ve been reading Forgotten Queens of Islam by Fatima Mernissi. Great read to learn more about the early female leaders.

Hmmm… what number would satisfy you Steve? And are Christian nations held to the same account?

And last time I looked, Queen Arwa of Yemen was both head of state in her own right and Arab.
If you travel to Yemen, you will find the people there love her so much they speak of her as if she is still alive.

And whilst I am at it - most of the Muslim world isn’t Arab, so… ?!?!?

No number would satisfy me. I am a disinterested party.
What is the relevance of Christian nations? What standards is any nation being held to? I find no reference to any standards or to any christian nations in the original post.
Most of the muslim world is not Arab, very good. The Arab world is of course, far from irrelevant in islam, being the location of the holy cities and the epicentre of theology, the repository of that spare cash which is used to promote islam in the wider world, and being the ethnicity of mohammed. And of course, the epicentre of customs and behaviours which do not reflect well on islam in the wider world.

What, customs and behaviours such as… hospitality, chivelry, poetry & literature, respect for elders and love for children, and artistic brilliance?

Nice customs, however they are overshadowed (especially among the majority who have hardly heard of islam) by other more newsworthy customs. You were only being obtuse and pig-ignorant to mention this anyway, for you know full well how much bad publicity Islam gets, and why. And you know full well just how much of that eminates from the Arabian peninsula.
You don’t need me to peel the skin from your eyes.

Just out of curiosity Steve, how much time have you actually spent in the Arabic-speaking world?
