It’s not only Muslims that the current Pope appears to offend. I can’t help thinking that if the Pope had had to cancel his speech because of Muslim protest, there would be howls of outrage emanating from the right-wingers about dhimmitude and Islamofacism winning again, and it would be front-page news. 

Maybe this Pope actually does have a lot of views that are out of step with what the rest of us are thinking, whether it is Muslims protesting or Italian university students.

Meanwhile, doesn’t this picture speak a thousand words!

All the blogs that hate Islam and Muslims.  Of course I don’t read the militantly hateful ones like LGF, but even the ones that preach false ideas such as Islam or Prophet Muhammad is inherently violent, or the insidious ones that pick up and relay LGF news but without the virulent spewing of prejudice–even these I can stand no more.

It’s not the Allah I know and love, it’s not the Prophet I know and love, it’s not the Islam I know and love.  They have created a Frankensteinish ugly hag, plastered makeup all over her face and dressed her in second-hand finery, and then mocked and lambasted her for her ugliness.  But why should I read about and try to defend that hag, when I have glimpsed the real beauty of the divine Hoor.

So, I’m deleting those blogs from my reader.  They are not worth my time and use of synapses. 

And when they hear vain talk, they turn away therefrom and say: “To us our deeds, and to you yours; peace be to you: we seek not the ignorant.” (Qur’an al-Qasas 28:55)

The first application we didn’t get, but just didn’t hear back from the real estate agent. The second one (which I really liked) we rang up and asked, but they said we were declined. When we asked whether it had been let to anyone else, they said ‘no, that’s just the decision of the owner.’

We have a long track-record of great tenancy, no credit problems, genuine and stable income, so what’s the problem? It couldn’t be the two cats, as when I viewed the property the agent pointed out the doggy door and said the owner was fine with a tenant having pets. So, that leaves the hijab on my photo ID.

Third application we got smart. No photos of me, and no references with any Arabic sounding names. And lo and behold, we got the place. Hard not to be paranoid eh!

British channel “The Islam Channel” has been fined 30 thousand quid for breaching the broadcasting code, including allowing political party candidates to present on-air during the 2006 local elections.  Seems a bit stiff, when the 700 club and its ilk can regularly get away with inciting religious and racial vilification (one rule for them and another one for us).
